1. Read all of Kaplan - up to chapter 10
2. Know all definitions of the bold-faced words and know who the people who are mentioned are
3. Read all the notes on blog and read other peoples blogs too. 
4. Go to the BBC site and read through the English history.  Concentrate on the Tudors and the Civil War and Revolution.
5. Kaplan: Italian Renaissance and Reformation.  Wikipedia: History of Europe - Renaissance, Reformation 
6. Read Wikipedia's article on Renissance. 
7. Wikipedia: Protestant Reformation
8. Read "Exploration and Conquest" under History of Europe and then go to Age of Discovery
